Wigan Warriors Community Foundation and Wigan and Leigh Hospice are delighted to announce a new partnership with Land of Beds who will be supporting this year’s Wigan and Leigh 5K Colour Run.

The partnership will see the bed retailer become the official 2018 headline sponsor for the event taking place at Pennington Flash on the 16th of September 2018.

Wigan Warriors Community Foundation Manager, Mike Wearden, said:

“The Wigan and Leigh Colour Run is now moving into its 5th year and has widely become known as the official event of its type in the borough. With over 1000 participants attending each year, raising funds for two amazing charities, it’s fantastic to see the event gaining support from national organisations such as Land of Beds”

“We’re delighted to have Land of Beds on board supporting the day and we’re looking forward to the new and additional activities that working in partnership with themselves and Sealy (the Wigan Warriors official sleep partner) will bring to the event”.

Mike Murray, Managing Director at Land of Beds, said:

“Helping the Wigan and Leigh communities to sleep better – as well as supporting local charities and promoting health and wellness – are three of our family business’ core values.” “Land of Beds wants to support families who are going through the toughest of times; therefore, it is our privilege to be sponsoring the Colour Run, which will help to raise essential funds for Wigan & Leigh Hospice – an outstanding local charity that is close to our hearts and cares for more than a thousand people a year with life-limiting illnesses.”

“We encourage as many people as possible to register to take part in this year’s race, which will be dedicated to the memory of Neil Rigby.”

New for 2018, the event will see a ‘Sealy Relaxation Zone’ where participants can relax pre or post the event on one of Sealy’s Activsleep mattresses. As well as this, Sealy will also be giving participants the lucky chance of winning a number of fantastic prizes.
