Wakefield Trinity head to the DW Stadium on Sunday with a 100% record thanks to four wins from their opening four Super League encounters.

It’s the first time since 1945 that they have won their opening four games.

So far this season they’ve beaten Hull KR, Salford, Catalans and Huddersfield.

Last season they missed out on the Super League semi finals by just one point as they finished fifth, their joint best ever season having also finished fifth in 2009.

Not one of the founder members of Super League, Wakefield were promoted to the top flight in 1999 and have been there ever since.

A former Wigan, Halifax, Hull FC and Hull KR player, Chris Chester has been Head Coach at Wakefield since March 2016.

David Fifita continues to be a real asset for Trinity, last season the former Cronulla man made 103 tackle busts almost double that of any other teammate.

Half-back pairing Jacob Miller and Liam Finn have struck up a great partnership and are vital cogs in the team.

Former Wigan player Ryan Hampshire signed for his hometown club in the off-season and will

Ben Jones-Bishop scored 20 tries and made 30 clean breaks last year for Wakefield.
