This will also be the fans’ first opportunity to catch a glimpse of the venue as once again all fans will be welcome to attend the team training session.

The Warriors will host a BBQ on North Beach

The following day on the Thursday, fans will have their chance to get up close and personal with the Wigan squad as the whole team will be attending meet the team and signing session events in Wollongong as well as extensive community events throughout the Illawarra and South Coast region.

Fans won’t want to be anywhere else but Wollongong on the Friday with a very special day planned in the city. Fans will have their chance to revel in the decorated history of the Wigan Rugby League Club, celebrate the traditional links with superstars of Australian Rugby League and relive famous moments with some great friends with another fantastic event in store.

Off the back of an event-filled week throughout the region, history will then be made in front of a packed WIN stadium on Saturday 10th February as Wigan and Hull FC face off 7:45pm.

An open training session will take place at WIN Stadium

Warriors Executive Director, Kris Radlinski, said:

“With less than four months to go until our historic tour to Wollongong and Sydney what better way to mark that than to give fans an overview of the first week of the tour.

“Whilst we still have some details to confirm and more exciting announcements to make, we wanted to give fans a feel for what they can expect whilst we are over in New South Wales.

“Having recently visited the city myself, the people of Wollongong simply cannot wait to welcome the team and Wigan fans to the region. It’s a fantastic place and I can assure any Wigan fan that makes the journey over, it will be the trip of a lifetime!”
