The next Wigan Warriors Business Club event will take place in Manchester prior to the World Club Challenge to provide members with an in-depth insight into the Global Business of Rugby League.

The event, titled ‘Shaping the Industry – The Global Business of Rugby League’ will take place at the offices of Business Club member KPMG on the evening of Monday 13th February.

The event will be hosted by Sky Sports’ former dual-code international Brian Carney, whilst attendees will have an opportunity to pose their questions throughout the evening.

An expert panel will convene to discuss a range of topics including state of the game, globalisation, high performance, comparisons between the two hemispheres and future opportunities for the growth of the sport.

The event will also see the Club commence a relationship with pro-manchester, the largest business development organisation in the North West, to support commercial activity in Manchester.

Wigan Warriors Commercial Sales Manager Dan Burton commented,

“The event will provide members with a fantastic insight into the Global Business of Rugby League and how the Club are looking to shape the industry moving forward.

“We would also like to thank Jonathan and his colleagues at KPMG for providing us with the use of a such a fitting venue for what promises to be a fantastic event.”
