Manfredi Out

Wigan winger Dom Manfredi will miss the remainder of the 2016 after picking up a knee injury in last week’s game at Castleford.

Manfredi suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury early on in the game and Shaun Wane confirmed the worst.

Unable to put a timeframe on the injury at the moment, Wane said: “It’s a bad one. Dom will be out for a long time, I’m really gutted for him he’s a great player.

“It’s really sad but we’ve got a great medical department here and I’m sure he will bounce back stronger from it.

“The players are really motivated to get something from the season for him.”

In other news, Wane confirmed that three other players picked up injuries last week adding: “George (Williams) took a bit of a knock, Dan Sarginson and Josh Charnley did too so we’ll take a look on them later in the week before we name the squad.”

Wigan Warriors face St Helens at the DW Stadium on Friday 19th August, 8pm kick-off. Tickets for the game start from £22 for adults, £15 for concessions and juniors and are available from the DW Stadium Ticket Office, the Ticket Hotline – 0871 6633 552 and online HERE.
