  • Warriors face Hull FC on Friday 29th July, 8pm kick-off in huge clash

Wigan Warriors travel to the Keepmoat Stadium for the first time for their Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Semi Final clash with Hull FC on Friday 29th July.

The Warriors will be in action in Doncaster for the first time since their 2003 Round 5 Cup win over the then Doncaster Dragons by 50-10 at Belle Vue.

Below is all the information on the Keepmoat Stadium including directions and details on facilities around the ground.

The Keepmoat Stadium opened in 2007 and is situated next to beautiful surroundings of the Lakeside. Another distinguishing feature are the four floodlights, which are mounted on the roof in each corner.

The concourses have recently been refurbished and a number of food and drink options are available. All concourses are fitted with televisions in order to keep supporters entertained pre-match.

By Car

Take the M62 Eastbound and join the M1 southbound at junction 32A. From the A1(M) join M18 Eastbound at Junction 35 (signposted Hull).

Once on the M18, leave at Junction 3 and take the A6182 towards Doncaster (the stadium is well signposted from Junction 3 and is about one and a half miles away). You will pass a retail park on your left and then at the next island (which has the Lakeside Pub visible behind it) turn left onto White Rose Way. The Lakeside Shopping Centre is now on your right (the stadium is located directly behind the shopping centre). At the next island turn right into the industrial estate, and after passing the Tesco distribution centre on your right, turn right at the bottom of the road and the stadium is further down on your left.

The journey takes approximately 1 hour 40 minutes by car.

By Coach

Official coach travel is also available via the DW Stadium Ticket Office for this fixture, costing £12.00 for season ticket holders and £13.00 for non-members. Coaches will leave Loire Drive (DW Stadium) at 4.15pm and Parson’s Walk (opposite The Wheel) at 4.30pm.

By Train

Doncaster Station is just under two miles away and buses are available as detailed right to the ground.

Keepmoat Stadium has 1,000 official parking spaces including 60 disabled spaces. A range of local businesses offer parking facilities around the stadium at around £3-£4 per vehicle.

Parking at the stadium is £5 per vehicle on a match day or in advance by calling 01302 762576 option 1.

Belle Vue Bar

The Belle Vue Bar is an external bar situated on the outside of the West Stand, and welcomes all supporters from both the home and and away clubs. Among the selection of the drinks available in both the bar and the concourses are Boddingtons, Becks, Budweiser, Kingstone Press, wine and a selection of soft drinks. A selection of hot food will also be available from the Belle Vue Bar.

Stadium Concourse

If you arrive at the ground early and like to take in the atmosphere within the stadium, why not try the recently upgraded concession stands which now boast brands such as Flaming Good Burger, Franks Original NY Street Dog, Henry’s Chicken, Cracklings, The Pie Factory and the Ice Bar.

Alternative Entertainment

Alternatively, there are also entertainment facilities away from the stadium who welcome all supporters; these include the Lakeside Beefeater pub/restaurant which is situated within the Lakeside Shopping Village opposite the stadium. Within the shopping village there are also Pizza Hut, McDonalds and KFC outlets.

Across the lake there are also the Cheswold Pub, Vue Cinema, Frankie and Benny’s restaurant, the Doncaster Dome Leisure Park and the Doncaster Superbowl (bowling, arcade and bar) approximately 15 mins walk from the stadium. All the venues mentioned above welcome all supporters.

Wigan have an initial allocation of 4,499 reserved seating tickets the South Stand and the southern half of the East stand with Hull FC receiving the North Stand and the other half of the East. West stand tickets will then be issued once a club is close to selling out its initial allocation.
