- Over 75 London business leaders confirmed
Wigan Warriors Business Club are today delighted to announce that Sky Sports presenter Brian Carney will host the Business of Sport event while Chairman Ian Lenagan joins our panel.
Joining London 2017 Managing Director Sally Bolton OBE and London Skolars Founder Hector McNeil at London Stock Exchange is Ian Lenagan, Wigan Warriors Chairman. Ian Lenagan has more than 40 years’ experience in the computer sector and has been the Chairman of the Wigan club since 2007. With a reputation for innovation and creative thought-leadership in both business and sport, the Chairman will be discussing the day to day running of one of the worlds most professional sports clubs.
It will be a return to the Stock Exchange for the Chairman as in 1985, Ian Lenagan set up his own business, Workplace Systems, which develops and supplies software products for workforce management. With the success of Workplace Systems the company was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2000.
Quizzing the Chairman on the night will be the face of Sky Sports Rugby League coverage, Brian Carney. Brian is a former dual-code Rugby international player who has represented Wigan Warriors over 110 times. Brian also played for Warrington Wolves and Hull and Wigan Warriors. Carney crossed codes to play Rugby Union for Munster, from 2007 to 2009 and he earned international caps for Ireland in both League and Union. Brian now works for Sky Sports, fronting their Rugby League coverage and will host the Business of Sport event at London Stock Exchange for the Warriors Business Club.
