Logan Relishing Opportunity

Logan Relishing Opportunity

Wigan host Catalan Dragons at the DW Stadium on Friday night looking to build on their recents wins over Hull KR and Warrington Wolves.

Wigan will again be without Michael McIlorum for the visit of the side from Perpignan as he completes a three game suspension and as a result Logan Tomkins has enjoyed taking over the role as starting hooker, he told us,

"The game time is important for me for my own personal development. It is certainly different coming on and playing 20 minutes or half an hour off the bench and sometimes with that it is hard to get into the game. It is unfortunate for the Club that Micky isn't playing because he is one of the best hookers in the game, I am just grasping this opportunity and am grateful to be getting the minutes. We all know our jobs that we have to do and our key areas."

Asked about facing Catalan on Friday, Logan added,

"They are a big physical team so you need to have the right mindset as different teams have different qualities, Catalans qualities are that they are all big men, they will try and run at you all day if you let them. In every game you need to dominate in the middles and against Catalan that is the same.

"Beating Warrington is a massive confidence booster for us, we always felt in control of the game, it's the manner in the way we beat them which is particularly pleasing as they are one of the best in Super League."
