Wigan had two main injuries following their recent trip to Australia and New Zealand, Prop Eddy Pettybourne left the field in the World Club Challenge with a bicep injury and Sam Powell damaged his ankle during training in Hamilton.
Pettybourne misses Sunday's game against Wakefield through suspension anyway and the good news is his injury is not too serious.Head Coach Shaun Wane told us,
"Eddy will be fine for Castleford next week, he is OK, a bicep tear is a few weeks and thankfully it's not.
" Sam Powell's injury needs two weeks to settle down and then there will be a decision as to whether we operate or not, he could be out for 6 or it could be 12 weeks."
Elsewhere Shaun added,
"Gil Dudson also had a knock on his knee and we will check how he is."
