The Wigan Warriors Community Foundation has had a successful first day of their Half Term Rugby Camp at Central Park.
The Camp, which includes a free junior season ticket for all those who attend, has been based around the Warriors phenomenal 2013 season; with Wigan becoming the double winners lifting both the Tetley's Challenge Cup and Super League Trophy and will tomorrow host both magnificent trophies for the children to see first hand.
The Coaches have been impressed with the skills on show throughout the first day of the camp. The main focus has been on attacking skills such as passing and catching, something Shaun Wane drills into the First Team squad as part of ‘The Wigan Way'.
Young player Lewis (shown in picture above) was chosen by Connor as the player of the day.
Commenting on the first day, Wigan Warriors Development Officer Connor Wilkinson said:
"Lewis showed a great attitude and lots of commitment throughout the day as well as always playing with a smile on his face, that's what it takes to become a top Rugby player."
Lewis was given a special prize as a result of his hard work throughout Day one of the camp. The prize was donated by ‘X-Blades', who specialise in exceptional quality rugby and football boots. You can visit their website at www.xbladesuk.co.uk.
Check out the website tomorrow for Day 2 of the Half Term Rugby Camp.
