New Half Back Blake Green is settling in well at Wigan, he has enjoyed meeting his new team mates at Orrell, pre-season is good, but tough, and has moved into a new house in the area with his new Wife, Sarah.
Green told us,
"It has been a tough introduction, the weights sessions have been particularly tough as I am probably not used to the volume they do here. I enjoyed a good rest back in Australia and got married which was great and am now looking forward to my time here at Wigan.
"I did some training while I was back home to keep the body ticking over otherwise I would have been a complete wreck to come back to face the training.
"I have had to make sure I was ready to go in terms of weights and with my footy and I want to show that I mean business. I wanted to make a good impression and hopefully I will continue to do so."
Blake will fill the boots left by Brett Finch and admits that Brett, a player he crossed paths with back in his Parramatta days, had nothing but good words to say about Wigan and the opportunity it would give him, he added,
"Brett was probably a bit of a role model for me as a young kid, I used to watch him and train with him every day. He has a very experienced head on those shoulders and I listened to him the best I could.
"Finchy couldn't speak highly enough of the Club, about Shaun and Mark Bitcon, he certainly pointed me in the right direction. I thought last year he was awesome for the Club, he had a heap of try assists. He told me to come to Wigan if I wanted to achieve my goals in the game and that this is the place to do it."
