Young participants on the Wigan Warriors Community Foundation Young Offenders Programme are holding a charity car wash as their final task to organise and run an event.
The Warriors Foundation has delivered the course over a six-week period to the 14-18 year olds who have worked to change their lifestyle. The course has offered a variety of different activities and tasks which have been both physical and classroom-based learning have enabled the individuals to gain and develop valuable life skills.
As part of the course the youngsters visited Wigan and Leigh Hospice and decided to use their event to fundraise for the local charity.
The charity car wash will take place on Friday 30th March 2012 between 10am-12pm at Robin Park Arena, Wigan.
To have your car washed by the youngsters and support a much-needed local charity will cost £3.50 for a small car and £5 for a 4x4.
The participants will present the money they fundraise to Wigan and Leigh Hospice after the event.
Warriors Foundation Coach Tommy Gallagher said:
"It has been an absolute honour to watch the progress the youngsters have made over the duration of the course, in a bid to change their lifestyles. They have shown great attitude and put in 100 percent effort into all our activities and tasks.
"I hope the community show their support to both the youngsters and Wigan and Leigh hospice by coming to the car wash."
