20's Tested At Rivington Pike

While the first team squad were being put through their paces before Christmas under Shaun Wane in Florida the Warriors 20's spent a tough weekend at the Anderton Centre at Rivington Pike with an outdoor training camp.

Supported by Lee Robinson the squad faced military based exercises on Rivington Pike and Winter Hill as well as sessions in raft building, orienteering as well as an open water swimming session. The squad were also subjected to an overnight camp in what were wet, windy and very cold conditions.

Speaking about the weekend camp, Under 20's Head Coach John Winder said:

"It was a very useful exercise and it was great to see the boys working both individually and as a team unit to complete the tasks they were set. The weather was pretty bad and it was really testing conditions but the weekend was a big success from a coaching point of view."

The Club would like to thank Henry Morris at Morris Bakery of Coppull for providing energy based food for the squad on the camp. There was some relief for the boys at the end of the weekend with a Pool and Darts competiton at Riley's in Wigan
