Wigan went out of the Carnegie Challenge Cup after a heart-breaking 12-10 loss to Leeds Rhinos at Headingley Carnegie on Saturday afternoon.
Wigan led 8-10 with a couple of minutes left thanks to four Pat Richards penalties but a last gasp try from Rhinos full back Lee Smith sent Leeds through to the semi-finals.
Afterwards Head Coach Michael Maguire was shattered by the result,
We're all very disappointed about the outcome," he said. "We're going to have to learn from that and take it forward.
"It was credit to our guys. We hung in there but unfortunately cracked right at the end. They're a good team and they've been around a long time winning games like that.
"We're going to have to utilise the disappointment in the Super League competition. We are in a good position in the League and we now need to put our focus towards that."
