Warriors Summer Camps End on a High

Today saw the end of a spectacular summer of fun for over 250 children as the ‘learn to play the Warriors way’ summer camps came to a close at Shevington High School. To cap an excellent week, the 45 children on the camp were joined by some of the Warriors first team squad.

Pat Richards, Harrison Hansen, Sam Tomkins and Mark Flanagan gave up their time to join in with the children and pass on some top tips, with one child commenting, "Sam Tomkins was on my team for kick-tennis and we won easy, he was a really good kicker and catcher!"

Head Coach for the camp and Warriors Community Development Officer Amanda Wilkinson said,

"The last 5 weeks of the summer holiday’s have been great fun for all of the coaches working on the camps, and the smiles on the children’s faces have made it all worthwhile. The Warriors players here today made the camp extra special, with many of the youngsters saying how great it was to see their favourite players in real life!"

As the children begin to prepare to go back to school for the new academic year, we are already looking ahead to the October half term. The Warriors will be running a two-day coaching camp in Wigan on the 26th and 27th October, with some extra special offers for all of the children who attend.

Full details of the camp will be released on the Warriors website early next week, so keep your eyes peeled for the amazing offer.
