Warriors Switch On Lights Tonight

Wigan Warriors stars Joel Tomkins, Darrell Goulding and Lee Mossop will be joining Same Difference to light up the town at this year's Christmas switch on tonight.

Also present will be Luke Marsden, The Big Brother contestant, and they will all be present to switch on the Christmas lights in Market Place, along with Wigan's Got Talent winner Scott Chapman and local band The Cut.

Local school choirs in the Choir for Christmas competition will also be performing and entertaining the crowds.

The live entertainment, organised by Wigan Town Centre management, The Galleries and Grand Arcade and Rock FM, will start at 5.30pm until 7.30pm on Thursday, November 20 in Market Place while the Warriors stars will join Same Difference for a signing & photo session in the Grand Arcade immediately after the switch on ceremony.

On Sunday, November 23, Wigan town centre will host a family Christmas event, from 11.30am, featuring Santa and his reindeer parade plus Max, the Walkabout Warrior Girls and Miss Wigan Warrior.

The parade starts at 1pm from Mesnes Park and will arrive at Market Place at 1.30pm. A whole day of family entertainment is planned.
