Warriors Announce 3 Year Deal with Kooga Rugby

Wigan Warriors can today confirm that the Club has signed a new three year deal with KooGa Rugby, the specialist rugby kit suppliers.

The deal is a record for the Wigan club and believed to be one of the largest ever in rugby league history. It will see KooGa continue as the Warriors playing, training kit and leisure wear supplier for seasons 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Speaking about the deal Wigan Warriors Chief Executive Mick Hogan said,

“We are delighted we have secured the contract with KooGa. We have been really impressed with the quality of the product that KooGa created last season and we are looking forward to working together over the next three years. I am sure that our players and supporters alike will be very happy with their innovative and technically advanced range of products. The 2009 season will see Wigan Warriors offer our fans the widest ever range of merchandise and also increase the number of ways in which they can buy direct from the club.”

Bill Newton, Sports Marketing Director of KooGa added,

“Wigan Warriors are a world renowned name in Rugby League and we are delighted with this new agreement. We are very proud of our leading rugby brand and are pleased we can supply the Club with our superb range of products for the next three seasons.”

North West based KooGa were founded in 1997 and have a rapidly growing reputation in Rugby League which also includes kit agreements with Bradford Bulls, Huddersfield Giants and Hull KR as well as the NRL’s Newcastle Knights. As a specialist rugby business, KooGa has developed a range of playing kit with a high technical specification designed to withstand the rigours of the modern game.

The new range of 2009 training wear will be launched for sale in the not to-distant future while full details of replica kit and leisure wear will be announced in due course. This will include an exclusive limited edition shirt which will be available before Christmas.
