Over 1.500 women in pink T-shirts could be seen filling the streets of Bolton as they took part in the eight-mile walk in aid of Bolton Hospice last month.
Gillian explains more:
"It was cold and sometimes damp, but we were cheered on by drivers and passers by as we set off at midnight from Victoria Square, up Chorley New Road to Horwich, and back again.
"It would have been easy if it wasn't for the hills" she added.
"Participants walked in memory of loved ones who have passed on. I was walking in memory of my mum Susan Battersby, a lifelong Wigan supporter who died of cancer in 2002. She was cared for by the Hospice and we will never forget their kindness and support".
Participants have so far raised over £165,000 although donations are still being welcomed. Contributions can be made by visiting Gillian's 'Just Giving' website by [clicking here].
