Warriors' Star Prepares for Question of Rugby

Wigan Warriors’ star Sean O’Loughlin has been brushing up on his trivia knowledge ahead of a quiz event taking place at Platt Bridge Labour Club on Tuesday 12th June.

Tetley’s, the official beer of Wigan Warriors, is hosting its Question of Rugby quiz on Tuesday (12th June) with teams going head-to head to try and book their place at a Grand Final event later in the year.

The quiz evening will see fans competing against each other, tested on all things rugby league, general knowledge and of course the odd question about the famous pint, brewed in the North since 1822.

Several Warriors’ players are also taking part with two star top table teams present on the Question of Rugby stage on the night hoping they themselves can be crowned champions.

Not only will the winning team receive the Tetley’s Question of Rugby trophy but they will also take their place in a Champion of Champions event, which will be held prior to the kick-off of the Super League Grand Final, on Saturday 13th October, where they will take on the victorious teams from Tetley’s nine other official beer clubs.

Club Captain O’Loughlin, who is looking forward to pitting his wits against some of his Warriors’ team-mates as well as Wigan fans attending on the night, said: “It promises to be good fun and I’ll swot up on my trivia knowledge ahead of the quiz and hope my team can make it through to the final – hopefully one of two showcase events the Warriors’ will be involved in that weekend on our way to the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford.”

Entry is just £2 per person* or £10 for a team of six. Everyone attending will receive a free pint of Tetley’s and light refreshments.
