Advice for Fans Booking Hotels in Cardiff

Although a number of the main hotels in Cardiff are starting to get fully booked or have limited availability ahead of next weekend’s Millennium Magic event, the city still has plenty of rooms available.

On 5 and 6 May all six games from Round 13 of the engage Super League will take place under one roof at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium with 25,000 fans expected to attend each day.

As a result, the following hotels are now fully booked for Saturday 5 May:

  • The St David’s Hotel & Spa
  • Vale Hotel Golf and Spa Resort
  • Jurys
  • Ibis
  • The Village Hotel
Despite this, plenty of rooms are still available to accommodate rugby fans in the Welsh capital. To try help fans in finding a room for the night, the RFL has pulled together a whole host of information on where you could find hotels with vacancies.

Craig Spence, RFL Communications Manager, said: "A few of the hotels in Cardiff are now fully booked however, others still have plenty of rooms available. We’d suggest fans looking for a room look at our website, as we have a whole host of information that fans travelling to Cardiff might find useful in looking for hotels or bed and breakfasts.

"Alternatively, some fans could consider staying at some of the attractive places on the border between England and Wales or within Wales itself. Many of the towns and villages along the route to Cardiff offer great hospitality, sensational scenery, great shopping and easy access to the Millennium Stadium."
