Warriors Snap Up Junior Talent

Wigan Warriors have added three new young players to the club's academy set up.

Two of the three have come though the clubs very successful youth development scheme.

The three players are Stefan Marsh, Gareth Melling and Joe Mellor

Stefan Marsh - Has been a member of our scholarship scheme since the age of 13. Stefan attends Hawkley Hall School and plays for Wigan St Pats. Has been a member of the national train on squad.

Gareth Melling - Is a good attacking centre who has gained honours at both regional and national level. He attends West Leigh High School and plays for Orrell St James.

Joe Mellor - Is a half back signed from the Warrington scholarship and has gained honours at regional and national level. He is a half back and plays for Latchford Albion.

Speaking about the additions Head of Youth Development Brian Foley said,

"We are delighted to have added these three boys to our academy set up, all have impressed us with their skills and overall attitude. Stefan, Gareth and Joe are all promising youngsters with a great future ahead in the game."
