Warriors Launch The Home Express

Wigan Warriors fans come from far and wide and the club would like to get you the fans reaction to the possibility of providing travel to home matches at the JJB Stadium from various points around the North West.

“Warriors Express” will offer supporters from more distant areas a cost effective way of getting to the home games as opposed to driving or catching public transport and is part of the clubs strategy to help with a ‘Green Transport Policy’ by reducing the amount of cars with just one or two people coming to the ground. Hopefully this will also help reduce the amount of traffic trying to get away from the home games.

We have had several suggestions of routes starting from places like Morecambe/Lancaster, Blackpool & the Fylde Coast, Southport/Ormskirk, Preston/Leyland/Chorley, Burnley/Blackburn, Rochdale/Oldham, Warrington/Newton-le-Willows but more than ever we need the assistance of you, our supporters, to help us devise routes that will become popular and thus sustainable allowing supporters to take regular coach travel from various pick up points en-route with the ultimate destination of the JJB Stadium in good time for the home matches.

In addition to the fact supporters will get brought directly to the Stadium it will allow them to have an alcoholic drink (if they so choose) and make the journey to and from the games stress free.

Our Travel partner Fraser Eagle need YOUR HELP NOW to devise these routes and suggested pick up locations to make them practical and a service that will become well used.

The success of this is very much driven by you, the supporters as they cannot be subsidised, however Fraser Eagle are prepared to give it time to develop.

If you would be interested in using this service please complete the enquiry box below and adding the title “Warriors Express” and list your contact details, the area from which you would be looking to travel, suggested pick up points etc.
