Amanda joins in the role of Primary Link Co-ordinator, with the specific remit of setting up and running extra curricular rugby activity to provide the people of Wigan and surrounding areas with long term structures to participate in rugby league. She will also become the first Warriors’ member of staff to specialise in delivering activities to introduce more women and girls to the sport of rugby league.
Amanda joins the organisation from Leeds Rugby where she delivered Rugby League sessions in schools across Leeds and where she also setup a number of ground-breaking women & girls rugby league initiatives.

"This appointment will provide the club with a unique opportunity to develop the sport of Rugby League within the education system and allow us to provide opportunities for girls as well as boys to experience the greatest game of all."
Amanda Wilkinson said:
"I am looking forward to being part of the Wigan Warriors community and being involved in the development Rugby League participation in Wigan. It will be a new challenge for myself, working in a new area with new faces, which I am really looking forward to. Rugby League is a great game of which I have a lot of passion for, which makes my job a pleasure!"
Amanda brings a wealth of experience within Rugby League to the club and has been heavily involved with Rugby League at a local and regional level as a coach.
