Newton Set to Face Old Mates

Former Wigan hooker Terry Newton returns to the JJB Stadium this Friday with his Bradford Bulls team mates, and 'Tez' explains how it will be an emotional night for him.

Newton, speaking in Monday's League Weekly said:

"It's going to be a very emotional night for me because I've got a lot of friends at Wigan and a lot of my friends and family are Wigan fans.

"I still have a lot of feelings for the club and I'm glad they've come round. I don't think anyone in rugby league really wants to see Wigan relegated.

"I'm hoping for a good reception" Newton continued.

The game will see huge battles all over the field, and the first appearance of Stuart Fielden in a Wigan shirt against his old club will be one to savour.

"It's going to be a massive game and it will be good to go up against Stu. He's one of the best props in the world; a really powerful player, but that's the type of game we like.

"We'll all be friends before the game and after it we'll go for a few beers together, but when it comes to kick off time, all that is going out of the window."
