Powergen Skills Day Competition

Wigan Warriors are hosting the Powergen Skills Day this Friday, and 10 lucky fans could win the chance to be part of it in our exclusive competition.

The winners will join future rugby league stars aged 9-11 from the local area to develop their skills, tour the JJB Stadium and watch the Warriors versus Catalans game that night.

Only 50 children will be taking part in this exclusive event at Robin Park Arena and the JJB Stadium.

Professional coaches will take the youngsters through their paces and advise them on how to improve their game. The giant Powergen Skills Zone inflatable will also be on hand to help participants develop their kicking, catching, tackling and passing technique. The day will finish with a tour of the JJB Stadium, a rugby festival and then a ticket to watch the Warriors play with a photograph on the pitch at half time.

Charlotte Meekham, Powergen Sponsorship Manager commented:

Powergen is thrilled to be working with the RFL to encourage young people to become involved in the sport. There has been so much interest in the Skills Day and I am sure that it will be a huge success.

"The Powergen Skills Days provide a great opportunity for youngsters to learn from the stars of the game and get involved in playing. Through initiatives such as these, in addition to the Powergen Challenge Cup and the Powergen Champion Schools Tournament, our sponsorships highlight our commitment to the sport, from grass roots through to the professional game."
