Summer Camps Start in Style

Wigan Warriors Summer Rugby Camps got underway on Monday, with two successful camps held at Hindley and Ince Rose Bridge.

Children were put through their paces on the two-day courses by the Warriors Community Development coaches and Academy players Sam Tomkins and Mark Brocklehurst.

On the final days, Warriors stars Pat Richards and Feka Paleaaesina dropped by to watch the kids in action and present them with medals, certificates and other goodies.

The Warriors have partnered with the local authority,Tesco and Sportsmatch to deliver another eight rugby camps throughout the summer holidays across all areas of Wigan.

Next week the camps will be visiting Wigan St Pats ARLFC on Monday-Tuesday, and Aspull on Wednesday-Thursday. The camps start at 10am and run to 1pm on the first day and 2pm on the second.

Each will consist of two days coaching that will introduce the fundamentals of Rugby League to 8-14 year olds in a fun environment.

A few places remain on these camps and all you have to do to enrol is turn up on the first day with the course fee of £10.

Warriors Celebration Camp:

Additionally, the Warriors will be hosting a Celebration Camp at Robin Park Arena. This will last for three days and will incorporate the Warriors Master Class for 14-16 year olds.
