The support of the fans has again been superb this season. Despite the position the club finds itself in the loyalty shown again has surpassed all expectations.
Head Coach Brian Noble has been astounded with the sheer numbers and vocal backing the club receives both home and away and with a crucial second half of the season to come the support is needed now more than ever.
Brian said after the game at the weekend,
“I am amazed at the supporters at Wigan.
“I can’t compliment them enough. They were really behind us and are week in week out. Their support has left me gobsmacked."
Chairman Maurice Lindsay believes with Brian in charge and the support of the fans, the club can move up the table,
"After the game at Leeds a week on Friday, from the following 12 games, we've got eight at home. And with the crowd we've got behind us and the effort Brian is getting our lads to turn in, I think we will stay up."
