Clean Bill Of Health From The Weekend

Wigan Warriors recorded their first win of the new season last Friday against Huddersfield and are now turning their attention to a trip to The Willows this Friday, 8pm, to tackle Salford City Reds.

Head Coach Ian Millward confirmed there were no new injuries from the weekend and again he is likely to select his side from the same 18 that figured last time out.

Both Paul Prescott and Danny Orr played in the Academy game on Saturday and impressed. Ian confirmed Paul was probably around another two weeks off first team contention.

Salford go into the game on the back of a 34-4 defeat away to Bradford Bulls. Looking ahead to the game, Ian Milward confirmed despite the victory against the Giants he was still looking to get better,

"We can certainly improve defensively, we have leaked too many points. We average 6 points in the first half and concede 22 in the second which is an interesting statistic. We need to concentrate for longer and carry out instructions. We also need to be more ruthless."

The Warriors 18 for the game is as follows:-

Ashton, Calderwood, Vaealiki, Richards, Dallas, Orr, Moran, Logan, Higham, Hargreaves, Tickle, Hansen, O'Loughlin, Paleaaesina, Seuseu, Godwin, Brown, Tomkins

Salford 20-man squad: Fitzpatrick, Hodgson, Moule, Stewart, Dunemann, Robinson, Coley, Alker, Rutgerson, Finnigan, Charles, Highton, Langi, Wilshere, Haggerty, Littler, Clough, Baldwin, Brocklehurst, Jonkers.
