Noble Seeks Vocal Support from British Fans

Great Britain head coach Brian Noble has appealed for British Rugby League fans to get behind their team for the forthcoming 2005 Gillette Tri-Nations Tournament games against Australia and New Zealand.

Noble is currently overseeing the Great Britain team’s final preparations at a four-day warm-weather training camp near Marbella in Spain.

Speaking just hours after seeing Australia beat New Zealand 28-26 in the second game of the tournament in Auckland, the Great Britain Head Coach said: “The weather conditions over here are excellent, as are the facilities, and that means we are benefiting from some high-quality preparation.

“We are continuing what we began at the mid-season camp at Bath University and the squad are working very well together.

“Once again, a superb spirit is developing among the players.

“We are working on what we need to do to be successful in the Gillette Tri-Nations Tournament and thinking about the challenge ahead.

“We are also looking forward to our first game in the tournament against New Zealand at Loftus Road in London on Saturday, October 29

“After their last two performances, we have seen that the Kiwis are a world class team and we need to be ready to play when we face them.

“On game day, we hope the Great Britain supporters can help by giving us their maximum vocal backing.

“The noise they make can provide such a tremendous lift for the team and all of us want our fans to make themselves heard in London next Saturday night.”

Both tickets and hospitality for the game at the JJB Stadium on 5th November are selling quickly. For more details [click here].
