On Thursday Wigan revealed the capture of Mickey Higham and the departure of Terry Newton. Higham teams up again with Ian Millward who he played under at both Leigh and St Helens.
Speaking to the MEN from Australia Ian said,
"I am absolutely made up to think I will again have a player of Mickey's class in my team. It's a wonderful signing and by 2008 he will have established himself as the No 1 hooker in the world."
"We are bringing in a player with a special talent and I can't wait to work with him after having coached him at Leigh and then seen him play for St Helens. It is another outstanding signing for us."
Higham is currently with Great Britain in their pre-Gillette Tri-Nations Training Camp in Spain. The party return to England over the weekend with the first game for Brian Nobles men taking place on Saturday 29th October against New Zealand at Loftus Road.
