SEVEN foot Max will play on a giant FIVE foot square replica of the board at Wigan Pier at the official launch tomorrow.
The Monopoly Wigan edition is a special one-off for Christmas based on town landmarks instead of London ones. It is being launched at Wigan Pier … on the same day as many thousands of games hit town shop shelves.
Wigan Warriors feature on the new board – alongside 32 other town loved landmarks including Haigh Hall, the Pier and JJB.
Wigan is the smallest place on earth to get its own game and the only ever town to land one.
Wigan pipped Bolton and beat all other Lancs. towns and cities to win the honour of getting its own game.
Simon Collinson, Marketing Director at Wigan Warriors says:
“As a community-centered rugby league club who directly touch the lives of over 250,000 people every year, Wigan Warriors are delighted to be featured in the Wigan version of Monopoly. We feel this reflects our rich history and the exciting future that lies ahead for the Club”
