Help a Local Child is a campaign of ‘The Red Rose Community Trust’, which was founded in 1989 and is a registered charity. The Board of Trustees consists of radio station staff, local business people, and a former Lancashire Constabulary police officer, while the Patron is Sir Tom Finney.
The aim of the campaign is simple: “To raise thousands of pounds for local children in crisis. For kids who are suffering from abuse or neglect, who are disabled and have special needs and for children and young people that need extra care or guidance.”
In the quarter ending June 2005, local children through the ‘Help A Local Child’ were awarded the total of £50,868 by Rock FM and Magic 999.
So don’t miss out… come and join the Warriors and Rock FM for what is sure to be a great day!
