Millward Thanks Warriors fans

Warriors Head Coach Ian Millward has today thanked the travelling Wigan fans who turned up in their huge numbers at the Willows on Monday.

Wigan came away with a 20-34 win in Ian's first game in charge folllowing his appointment seven days earlier.Around 3,000 cherry and white fans were among the near 6,000 crowd.

Ian told the website,

"The fans were fantastic, they backed the team all the way and the reception they gave both myself and Denis was special.I would like to thank them all very much for the way they supported the lads throughout and the way they have reacted to my appointment. I have had a lot of great feedback from the fans and I hope we can get a result again for them on Friday against London."

"It is a quick turn around this week with the Monday - Friday fixtures. We will have to take a look at everyone after a warm day at Salford. London have come off a 12 try display against Leigh, but I am looking forward to it."
