Wigan are today delighted to announce that young forward Harrison Hansen has put pen to paper on a new two year deal with the club.
Harrison whose contract was due to expire at the end of the season has agreed terms until the end of the 2007 season.
Hansen has been given his opportunity this season in the first team and has been one of the young breed who has impressed. Harrison joined the club at the age of 16 coming through the clubs successful youth development policy.
Speaking about the news Coach Denis Betts said,
"Harrison deserves a further contract with the club. He has worked hard this season and has established himself as a regular within the side. He still has a lot to learn as he himself admits, but with such a great attitude we are all confident that he will get to the very top and be a Wigan star for a long time to come."
Harrison Hansen said,
"I am pleased to have signed a new deal with the club. I started in the scholarship division and it was always my aim to climb the ranks and get into Wigan's first team. I am in a great coaching enviroment and I want to learn all the time. I feel that I am in the right place to do so."
