Warriors Set New Record Attendance

The traditional Good Friday derby match threw up it's usual dose of exciting, action-packed Rugby League action, but also a brand new Super League Record crowd of 25,004.

The figure surpassess the previous record of 24,020 set by Bradford Bulls for their derby match against Leeds Rhinos in September 1999.

Warriors coach Denis Betts commented:

"A crowd of 25,000 shows this game is still moving forward in a big way. The quality on the field is getting better and people keep coming to watch it.

"I would like to thank every single person who came today for making it such a special occasion."
