Match report as Wigan Warriors beat London Broncos 18-8 at the DW Stadium.

Wigan Warriors beat London Broncos 18-8 at the DW Stadium to make it three wins in a row.
Adrian Lam’s side needed second half tries from Chris Hankinson and Morgan Escare after going into the break trailing, despite Jake Shorrocks first try for the club.
It was London Broncos who opened the scoring after five minutes, as Kieran Dixon converted a penalty to give his side a 2-0 lead.
The Warriors came closest to the opening try, but Zak Hardaker was unable to keep hold of a George Williams kick in the 11th minute as the London defence remained tight.
After 17 minutes Wigan did break down the Broncos resolve, as Shorrocks made an excellent run to find the gap in the defence to open his account for the club to make the score 6-2.
London quickly responded in the 20th minute as Jay Pitts got onto the end of a Jordan Abdull kick to ground the ball by the closest of margins.
With Dixon successfully converting, the Broncos took an 8-6 lead.
Neither side were able to add any more points before the break, as the score remained the same at half time.
After the break, Wigan re-took the lead as Hankinson took advantage of a London Broncos error to pick up the ball and easily go over to in the 49th minute.
A successfully Hardaker conversion gave the Warriors a 12-8 lead.
The Warriors then extended their lead, as Ecare got onto the end of a Williams kick in the 57th minute to make the score 18-8.
Rhys Williams came close to grabbing a try back for the Broncos, but was held up after some quick handwork from his team mates.
London had another opportunity to threaten the Wigan defence, but James Cunningham knocked on from a Dixon pass.
Adrian Lam’s were able to see out the victory, as the game finished 18-8 at full time.
