150 Years

150 YEARS

In 2022, Wigan Warriors celebrated its 150th year.

It was fitting that the Club, with Matt Peet in his first season as Head Coach, won the Challenge Cup for the 20th time, with the final played at the magnificent Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

There were other memorable commemorations including a special 150th-year dinner and the now-annual fireworks display.

There were also some special pieces of work commissioned including the giant ‘mishmash’ artwork, which now proudly sits in the fan village, and also a short film narrated by Club legend Martin Offiah.

150TH YEAR CREST

A slightly modified Club crest was adopted for the 2022 season. A gold circle with the words ‘150th year’ and ‘1872-2022’ were displayed around the badge.
