SUMMER CAMPS INFORMATION |

Rugby camps are available to all children aged 6-11 and of all abilities. Our coaches will adapt each activity on the camp to suit the varying ability levels of the participants each day. Day one will have an attacking focus looking at try scoring, skills and games involved with attacking, while day two will focus on defence including wrestling, tackle techniques and tackle pads with fun games in between each activity.
Children will be required to bring the following items for each day on camp:
- Water (refillable bottle)
- Packed lunch
- Boots or trainers
- Appropriate clothing depending on the weather conditions

Player Camps
Our Player Camps are rugby league specific camps which welcome children of all abilities aged 6-11. Whether you have never played rugby league before, or you currently play at school or your local community club, our coaches will adapt each activity to ensure all participants learn and enhance their rugby league skills each day.
Player camps are supported by the Wigan Warriors First Team squad, which will include player appearances, signing sessions, and opportunities for camp attendees to be around the First Team as they train and prepare for matches.
Activities will take place at Robin Park Arena, and children will have the chance to see first-hand the facilities Wigan Warriors teams use daily.
For our player camps you will need:
- Boots or trainers
- Suitable clothing (Sports clothing appropriate for the weather conditions on the day)
- Packed lunch
- Refillable water bottle
Community Rugby Camps
Our Community Rugby Camps will take place at various locations across Wigan and the surrounding areas. These camps generally take place at community rugby clubs or schools, and participants do not need to be affiliated to the host club/school to attend.
These camps are for children aged 6-11 and no prior rugby league experience is required. Staff will provide high quality sessions and adapt each session to cater for the ability of each child. Participants can expect lots of fun games and activities, while learning and enhancing their rugby league skills.
For our Community Rugby Camps you will need:
- Boots or trainers
- Suitable clothing (Sports clothing appropriate for the weather conditions on the day)
- Packed lunch
- Refillable water bottle
Holiday Activity Camps
Holiday Activity and Food Programme Camps (HAF) are for children and young people who are eligible for benefit related free school meals. This is a government scheme to provide holiday activities and meals for children and young people for free during the Easter and Summer holidays.
Our HAF camps are for children aged 6-11 and will operate at Robin Park Arena and Chowbent Primary School.
Camps will run for two weeks commencing 7 August and 14 August, and to book onto these camps you should have received a voucher code from your child’s school. You can access the booking page by logging into www.holidayactivities.com and searching for Wigan Warriors Community Foundation.
For our HAF camps, you will need the following:
- Boots or trainers
- Suitable clothing (Sports clothing appropriate for the weather conditions on the day)

Wigan Warriors Community Foundation Camps are held during the school holidays and offer children Rugby League based courses and the chance to meet their favorite Warriors Players. The foundation has been delivering multi skills focused activity camps for over 8 years for children aged 4 to 16. Each year over 2000 children take part in healthy activity during the school holidays at camps across the UK that is delivered by our expert team of coaches that engage and educate children through sport.
The camps are available to children of all abilities and each camp is designed and led by professional coaches. Children will learn what it means to learn “the Wigan way” with all the latest techniques and skills from the cutting edge of the game and will be encouraged to be their best.
