One month until our Super League opener in Castleford

As the countdown continues, anticipation is building ahead of our Betfred super League opener against castleford tigers.

There is just one month to go until Wigan Warriors begin their 2026 Super League campaign against Castleford Tigers at the OneBore Stadium, marking the first of 27 regular-season rounds.

The season gets underway at the LNER Community Stadium on Thursday 12 February as newly promoted York Knights host Hull KR, before Round 1 concludes in West Yorkshire with Matt Peet’s side in action.

As Super League celebrates its 30th year with a return to a 14-team competition in 2026, the Warriors are looking forward to a meeting against Catalans Dragons at the Stade Jean Bouin, Paris. The June fixture, which marks 20 years of Catalans in the competition, will be held in the city where Super League began when Paris Saint-Germain hosted Sheffield Eagles.
