“The Women’s Health Day is a great way to showcase the activities currently taking place at Edge Hall Road, whilst highlighting opportunities for the community to access paid sessions delivered by Edge Hall Road, other on-site NHS services, and future NHS services.”

Head of Women’s Operations at Wigan Athletic, Hayley Turner, also said: “As Head of Women’s Operations at Wigan Athletic, I’m incredibly proud to work alongside Wigan Warriors Women at Edge Hall Road Community Stadium. The site is an elite training facility and the home of both clubs, providing an inspiring environment that champions Women’s health and wellbeing and allows us to continue to grow and progress together.

“This Women’s Health Day is a brilliant opportunity to open our doors to the local community, connect with the NHS, meet our Women’s team players, and show how sport and strong partnerships can bring people together and make a real difference across Wigan.”

Anne Burgess, Programme Manager Transformation and Integration (Wigan Locality) also said: “Being part of the Edge Hall Road site development is an exciting step for Healthier Wigan Partnership. Our collaboration with the Clubs has created a unique opportunity to bring vital health and wellbeing services even closer to the Orrell Community.
