Warriors Together starts with Primary School visits

• Community Foundation’s ‘Warriors Together’ programme returned on Friday 28 November.
• The Warriors visited Standish Lower Ground St Anne’s, Marus Bridge and Highfield St Matthews CE Primary Schools to deliver mental health & wellbeing assemblies.
• The initiative aims to create a positive impact across the entire borough.

Wigan Warriors Community Foundation’s ‘Warriors Together’ programme returned with players visiting local primary schools.

The Club’s ‘Warriors Together’ initiative is dedicated to creating a positive impact across the entire borough, partnering with schools and community groups in Wigan’s most deprived and hard-to-reach areas.

Starting last Friday afternoon, Foundation staff delivered mental health and wellbeing assemblies in three primary schools before pupils engaged in physical sessions supported by Warriors players in attendance.

Week 1: Primary Schools.

• Standish Lower Ground St Anne’s Primary School.
• Marus Bridge Primary School.
• Highfield St Matthews CE Primary School.
