A highly anticipated first Battle of the Borough clash takes place early in the season when Wigan host Leigh in Round 3.
The Warriors met the Leopards twice at home in 2025, losing the first in a historic, and electric, Super League opener in front of more than 21,000 supporters. A golden-point extra time drop goal separated the rivals with Leigh winning 1-0 after the first 0-0 draw in the competition’s 29-year history.

The Warriors returned to winning ways against the Leopards in the Super League Play-Off Semi-Final under the lights. Bevan French’s first half double was added to with a late Sam Walters score to seal a third straight Grand Final appearance at Old Trafford.
