Oldham 30-28 Featherstone Rovers

George Hirst started at second row as Oldham played out a win in a frantic fixture against Featherstone Rovers, though the forward left the action late in the game following a tackle that saw Gadwin Springer receive a red card.

Sean Long’s side built-up an early 12-4 lead before finding themselves 24-12 in the second-half. Turner and Johnson responded, with Drinkwater converted both to draw the scores level.

A further try apiece resulted in a narrow 30-28 victory for Oldham who saw a penalty goal attempt go off target on the hooter for Featherstone, seeing them second in the Championship table.
