Highest Women’s attendance hit during cup win

Wigan Warriors women are proud to have celebrated sunday’s betfred women’s challenge cup win in front of our highest recorded attendance for a women’s match at robin park arena.

Denis Betts’ side produced an outstanding display on Sunday afternoon as Jenna Foubister accumulated 34-points – a hat-trick and 11 goals – in an 84-0 win over Barrow Raiders Ladies in the opening Group Stage match of this year’s competition.

Having sold Women’s tickets online in advance of the game for the first time, an incredible response was met with 508 supporters attending the tie which saw the Warriors score 15 tries alongside debuts for six players.

Positivity filled the outdoor arena pre-match as our Community Foundation coaches delivered interactive activities for supporters of all ages to experience and enjoy. Hosted on the running track whilst our Women’s team warmed up, sessions included: Wheelchair Rugby League, passing drills, an inflatable dart board, segways as well as archery and axe-throwing.

Supporters, many wearing our recently released 2025 Women’s Away shirts, were entertained before kick off and at half time with performances from Supreme Starlights Cheerleaders, whilst the Warriors Women delivered an emphatic victory in the Spring sun.

Wigan Warriors Women will travel to the capital next Sunday to take on London Broncos Ladies in the final Group Stage match, before starting the Betfred Women’s Super League season at home to reigning champions York Valkyrie.

Our 2025 Kappa Women’s Away Kit is available to purchase in-store at Robin Park Arena and online HERE.
