Commercial trip to Las Vegas

Wigan Warriors are delighted to have hosted two VIP trips at the Club’s historic Betfred Super League win over Warrington Wolves in Las Vegas.

More than 75 partners, sponsors, competition winners and supporters, joined players and staff on an incredible visit to the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World – topped off with a sensational 48-24 victory at the Allegiant Stadium.

Our first group of guests travelled to Las Vegas alongside First Team players and staff including Club Ambassador Martin Offiah MBE, whilst Shaun Wane, Brad O’Neill and Denis Betts joined our second group on a once in a lifetime trip to Vegas.

Activities arranged by the Club’s Commercial Team began with a meal alongside our First Team on Tuesday evening, before Assistant Coaches Sean O’Loughlin and Thomas Leuluai provided a unique pre-match insight the next day. Guests added the NRL Fan Hub to their ventures, before Martin Offiah appeared on The Matty Johns Show live on Fremont Street.

Ahead of the first ever Betfred Super League fixture in the United States, guests were invited to watch Matt Peet’s side train alongside NRL outfit New Zealand Warriors. This exclusive occasion provided attendees with a special insight into how professional sporting teams prepare for matches at the highest level. Following the session, some of our guests joined Club Chairman, Professor Chris Brookes, on a helicopter ride to witness ‘incredible scenes’ around the Grand Canyon.

An action-packed Thursday night saw guests enjoy access to a VIP area at the D Bar at Fremont Street for the NRL Fan Fest – the perfect place to take in the atmosphere whilst all the teams took to the stage. This experience was shared with Club Owner Mike Danson and Chief Executive Kris Radlinski, as well as former stars including Pat Richards and Simon Haughton.

The night continued with Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves players showing their appreciation for the support at an exclusive pre-match event hosted at Commonwealth. Attendees – including supporters who had booked through Catalans Sports Tours – were able to interact in a relaxed setting

Friday’s events started in style as long-term kit partners LCS Civils Chris and Paula Williscroft took the opportunity to tie the knot in the Marriage Capital of the World. Other guests enjoyed an afternoon of sightseeing, which included the Fountains of Bellagio and the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign, before heading downtown with Bevan French and Matt Peet to watch an appearance on NRL 360.

A historic gameday started in our dedicated fans bar at the WSKY Stadium – one of WSKY Bar + Grills locations – where thousands of Warriors created a sea of Cherry and White. VIPs made use of a private area hosted by Kris Radlinski and ambassadors. After witnessing Wigan score eight tries, our VIPs celebrated the victory, and a memorable trip to Las Vegas, with one final party with the team in Rockhouse.

Rebecca Webb, Wigan Warriors Head of Partnerships said: “It’s been a pleasure to work on this project over the last year and it was a surreal experience seeing all we had planned for our VIP’s come to life. Our Commercial Team – Heather, Katie, Catreona and Nicola – provided around the clock support to ensure all our guests had an unforgettable time.”

  • “Nothing could have prepared us for just how incredible the experience would be. From the moment we touched down to the final whistle, our trip was packed with unforgettable memories that truly cemented our love for the Club and the game.” Claire Smalley, PROCare.
  • “We had a fantastic experience in which the Club and staff took the extra mile to ensure we were looked after and made to feel part of a bigger family.” David Lawrenson
  • “We laughed, made new friends, and captured so many memories to last a lifetime.” – Chris Williscroft, LCS Civils LTD.

We are extremely grateful at Wigan Warriors to all partners, sponsors, competition winners and supporters for joining us in making history in Las Vegas.
