Five Warriors were in loan and dual registration action over the weekend across three competitions.

St Helens 82-0 Salford Red Devils

Tiaki Chan came off the interchange bench for a youthful Salford team in their opening round loss to St Helens at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

The forward, who made his Red Devils debut in the Betfred Challenge Cup Third Round win at Midlands Hurricanes, registered 22 tackles and 55 metres against St Helens.

Bradford Bulls 20-6 London Broncos

Kian McDermott started at prop forward whilst Lukas Mason made his London debut from the interchange bench as the Broncos fell to defeat at Bartercard Odsal Stadium.

Despite falling behind mid-way through the first half, the Broncos hit back with a converted score to take a 6-4 lead into the break. Three unanswered tries after the restart saw Bradford Bulls start the Championship season with two points.

Oldham 50-4 York

George Hirst came off the interchange bench for Oldham, who began the Championship campaign with an emphatic eight try victory over York at Boundary Park.

The hosts led 26-4 at the break following tries from Matty Ashurst, Phoenix Laulu-Togagae, Kieran Dixon and Jumah Sambou. Ashurst, Dixon and Sambou doubled their try total in the second half as Matty Wildie also crossed in a 50-4 victory for Sean Long’s side.

Rochdale Hornets 18-16 Swinton Lions

Dylan Kelly-Duffy made his Swinton debut from the interchange bench as the Lions were narrowly beaten by Rochdale Hornets in the 1895 Cup.

Despite falling behind at the Crown Oil Arena, Swinton scored twice in five minutes to lead 10-6 at the interval. The hosts edged a closely fought second half with a late penalty separating the sides.

Trent Kelly-Duffy was named in the Swinton 21-player squad but did not feature in the matchday 17.
