20k sold for Greatest Opening Night

wigan warriors are delighted to announce more than 20,000 tickets have been snapped up for our betfred super league fixture against Leigh Leopards.

With just two days to go until Matt Peet’s side marks their return to The Brick Community Stadium with a spectacular community celebration showcasing the very best of rugby league and the communities we represent.

The highly-anticipated Super League Round 1 clash will see the Grand Slam-winning Wigan Warriors take on Leigh Leopards in what promises to be an unforgettable night at The Brick Community Stadium. For the first time in a fixture between the Clubs, Wigan and Leigh will play for a specially commissioned Community Trophy which will be up for grabs in future games.

Wigan’s own indie rock band, The Lathums, will headline our Greatest Opening Night whilst legendary boxing announcer, Michael Buffer, will be in attendance at The Brick Community Stadium!

As part of the Greatest Opening Night, Wigan Warriors will work alongside Leigh Leopards to raise £1m of products for its sponsored charities in the week leading up to the matches. More information on our Community charity drive can be found HERE.
