Sam Walters has praised the importance of the club’s night under the lights event which supported the multibank.
The Warriors hosted its annual ‘Night Under The Lights’ on Tuesday evening at Robin Park Arena, as supporters took part in interactive challenges alongside players whilst there was also autograph and photograph opportunities throughout the night.
Praising the night, Walters said: “It was cold but that didn’t stop large numbers from the community coming out and taking part in each session which was great fun.
“I enjoyed trying out wheelchair rugby as well as the dartboard drills with a football. Our fans will be the ones travelling up and down the country supporting us all year round so it’s nice to have a night where we can share a connection and give something back.”
The night supported The Brick, in conjunction with The Multibank 2024 Hygiene Poverty campaign, which saw supporters donate essential hygiene products which will be distributed to those in hygiene poverty across the local area.
Speaking on the importance of The Multibank’s campaign, Walters said: “Our Club is massive on inclusivity and togetherness. Individuals from many backgrounds attend matches and events, who are brought together through the shared love for the game. It’s massively important that we’ve supported a campaign for such an important charity.”
Looking ahead to the 2025 campaign, Walters added: “I’m enjoying being back in and having an event like last night helps put us in good stead. Pre-season’s tough but I’m challenging myself everyday trying to get those little wins. I have expectations that I want to achieve this season but now is about taking each day as it comes and building enough to start the year strong.”
