Megan Williams joins Warriors Women

Wigan Warriors Women are pleased to announce that forward Megan Williams has joined the Club for the 2025 Season.

Williams played her junior rugby at Thatto Heath Crusaders and progressed through St Helens Academy set-up at U19s level before being added to the first team in 2022. 

She completed the England Rugby League DiSE programme, graduating in the Class of 2023 cohort. In the same year she was a member of the England Students team that won the President’s Cup and is a member of the England Knights squad. In 2024 she also represented Lancashire in both of the War of the Roses fixtures. 

She made 14 appearances for St Helens scoring 9 tries across the 2023 and 2024 seasons and joins the Warriors for 2025 whilst her younger sister, Abbie, has also been added to the Club’s P2P programme ahead of the new season.

On signing, Williams said: “I was really excited to see how the team was evolving last year, and many girls who I’ve previously played with excelling in the sport. I’m looking forward to working with Denis and the rest of the coaching team to improve and reach my potential, as well as being a part of this journey.

“I’d also like to thank St.Helens for my development so far but now feels right to make this change professionally and personally.”
