Success at Warriors Development Programme
The Club’s Community Foundation is delighted to have delivered a successful Alcedo Care Warriors Development Programme.
More than 120 participants from teams across the north west attended the final session at Robin Park Arena on Tuesday evening as players worked on their core skills in game situations as part of our international week.
Across the six-week programme, which is open to players of all abilities within the selected age group, the aim has been to develop each individual upon their return to Community Club action.
Volunteers from Community Clubs have supported coaches from the Wigan Warriors Foundation to gain invaluable experience, which can be taken back and practiced at their teams to further boost development.
Speaking on the success of the Warriors Development Programme, Tom Marsh said: “The effort from players on the programme has been amazing. Players and coaches have taken part in activities across the six-weeks which will help with their improvement when they return to the community game.
“We are delighted to have delivered another successful Warriors Development Programme, and we are looking forward to hosting the block with U12’s in the coming weeks.”
Our next Alcedo Care Warriors Development Programme is open to U12 boys of all abilities starting from Monday 28 November at Robin Park Arena. Book a free place on the programme HERE.
